Melissa “Missy” Moran Fund

“Missy” Moran was a loving mother, friend and “Hockey Mom” to all players who ever had the pleasure of having her as a team manager. When she passed away in 2015 after a long battle with cancer, a fund was established in her name to help families facing special financial hardships regarding the Waltham Youth Hockey team experience. 

Missy was a firm believer that no player should be left out of team activities or tournaments due to financial difficulties due to family illness or other unique circumstances. In that spirit, the “Missy” Moran Fund has been established to help families and players facing unique financial hardships to continue their participation with team events and activities. 

Requests are confidential and awards are given at the discretion of the fund committee. Please submit a request in writing to Mark Hickey (markhickey1@aol.com).
